Description

INDETERMINATE v. DETERMINATE : Larger tomato plants (indeterminate) can grow to six feet or larger. They can be bi-annual plants depending on the environment, although they are generally treated as annual plants. Indeterminate tomato plants continue to produce fruit throughout the growing season. The variety within the indeterminate tomato category is immense.

CULTURE: Plant seeds in flats 3-6 weeks early. Allow for unrestricted growth. Transplant when ready, or growth can be stunted.

SUN: Provide plenty of light to avoid tall, leggy growth.

SOIL: Prefers well-composted, slightly acidic, calcium-rich soil.

WATER: Avoid top-watering with cold water.

SEED PRODUCTION: Tomatoes produce perfect, self-pollinating flowers. Different varieties can be grown for seed in one garden if separated by a flowering crop.

SUGGESTED Individual Portion: 1/2 Teaspoon
