Description
Perennial. Our most hardy and delicious bunching onion. Evergreen survives even the most severe winter conditions. Allow some to winter over for early spring harvest, even in the snow. Companion plants include: beets, lettuce, tomatoes, strawberries, chamomile. Dislikes: peas, beans.
CULTURE: Prefers well-drained, rich soil, high in organic matter.
WATER: Water frequently, especially during dry spells.
SEED PRODUCTION: Bunching onions are best left in the garden to reproduce by dividing. Harvest your best bulb onions and store inside for the winter. Replant with 4″ spacing in the spring.
SUGGESTED Individual Portion: 1 Teaspoon.
